Minicity explorations
Exploring and evaluating the environmental performance of a new city.
How can we use early environmental performance simulations to design more sustainable cities?
This video presentation was developed during my time at NRG Energy. It uses a new urban development called Minicity, located in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, CA, as a case study to illustrate how various environmental performance indicators can be layered to design a sustainable city.
The Minicity was the precursor to the Dogpatch Power Station, a mixed-used waterfront development co-designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Foster & Partners. It also happens to be the site where the Station A team formed in 2013.
